Their banter was definitely fun, since the both of them had a lot more sense of humour as individuals, and in general compared to Ozzy and Amanda, though it seemed like him and Ozzy had a slight bromance. So he starts a quick showmance with Parvati, which I guess makes sense, since she was all over Nate in Cook Islands. Despite the cast only seeing the first few episodes of China, the masses liked him, so his spot on Micronesia was fitting, though a bit misguided. James has always been a tough person for me to grasp, since while he was sickingly overly positive with his China stint, and Heroes vs Villains does not need to be mentioned (yet), I…. He was just a tiring bore the entire time. Maybe I should be glad that he booted Mickjey due to planning all of these split votes and whatnot, but he literally ruined any chance of the fans succeeding, and he almost became just as much of a monotonous gamebot as Mickey would have. Tl dr: I think he's a damn' dirty hypocrite. He calls them selfish, when it is in fact his own selfishness which renders him incapable of understanding their motives, which is why he's outwitted all the time. Hence why he disrespects Parvati, Jaime and Peih-Gee. James would never, not ever, credit a woman for making a smart strategic move if the move does not directly benefit James. When Ozzy and Parvati were ingratiating Cirie SO HARD to sway her away from JAYE, James did nothing but complain: "This is dumb, letting the swing vote decide whom we vote out " like DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW SWING VOTES WORK, JAMES?
And when turning against Ozzy ended up to be the best decision for her, James voted bitterly against her. According to James, Parvati not playing to lose was a stupid decision on her part, which is fucking insane. He derided Parvati after she flipped against Ozzy, called her dumb, erratic and selfish for making a clever, conscious decision to go with women she could beat at the end instead of men she could not. The instances where James is out of power though (which is wont to happen since he willingly coasts along with anyone that has more strategic acumen - a group of people which somehow includes the likes of Ozzy Lusth and JT Thomas), he is pretty fucking awful. You shouldn't be only likable in moments where you don't face opposition. I think this is a fairly bad character trait. He can be likable (at the small cost of cockiness), but only in positions of power. He has great moments in China and Micronesia both. People James had a personality conflict with over the course of his three seasons: Jaime, Peih-Gee, Jean-Robert, Eliza, Cirie, Parvati, Stephenie, Tom Westman.
